The Marlin 1895 Dark Series DS is a compact .45-70 Govt. lever-action rifle built for rugged field use and fast handling. Its 16.1-inch cold hammer-forged barrel is threaded 11/16x24 and fitted with a polished radial muzzle brake, with a thread protector included. The rifle combines a Blue/Black factory finish with a nitride-finished bolt and lever for enhanced wear resistance. A five-round tubular magazine, mid-size lever, and generous recoil pad support practical operation and comfortable cycling. An anodized aluminum M-LOK handguard provides flexible accessory mounting, while the Picatinny rail, cheek riser, fiber optic front sight with tritium ring, and adjustable ghost ring rear sight provide adaptable aiming options in bright and low-light conditions.

I put this rifle on my wish list because it was unavailable in the caliber I wanted. Finally, I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I would have liked the cheek rest to be a little sturdier - but that can be rectified with an aftermarket purchase. My only complaint is that it took forever to find the correct adapter for the suppressor.

Love this gun. Def needed some oil though, needs some break in time kind of stiff especially at the loading port. Gun is very acurate love the look. Definately recommend this gun, one of my favorites.
