The Marlin Model 338MX is a .338 Marlin Express lever-action rifle designed for dependable field use and fast follow-up shots. Its side-ejecting action uses a solid-top receiver tapped for scope mounting, while the offset hammer spur provides convenient operation from either side. The rifle features deeply blued metal surfaces with a Mar-Shield finish, an American black walnut pistol-grip stock with cut checkering, and a rubber buttpad for a secure and comfortable hold. A five-shot tubular magazine provides a 5+1 capacity, and the factory sighting system combines an adjustable semi-buckhorn folding rear sight with a ramp front sight, brass bead, and Wide-Scan hood.
