Product Overview
The Marlin XT-22 YR Youth is a bolt action rimfire rifle designed specifically for young shooters. Its compact stock features a 12-inch length of pull, a smaller grip, stippled grip areas, a raised comb, and molded sling swivels to promote a comfortable, consistent shooting position. The 16-inch blued Micro-Groove barrel uses a 1:16 twist and 16 grooves for dependable accuracy with .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 LR ammunition. A 7-round magazine and single-shot adapter provide flexible loading options, while the reduced-force bolt release makes operation smoother. The rifle also includes a thumb-operated manual safety, red cocking indicator, adjustable Pro-Fire trigger, ramp front sight, and adjustable open rear sight. The black synthetic youth stock and 33-inch overall length keep the rifle light and manageable at 4 pounds. Factory standard models are not optic ready and do not include a threaded barrel.

I bought this rifle...
I bought this rifle for my 9 year old son to teach him how to shoot safely and true. He and I love this rifle. The action is great, crisp trigger, and shoots true. It is a perfect rifle to start with. Buds was great, fast, and dependable.

Excellent first rifle...
Excellent first rifle for my son. Small stock, short barrel fits well for a small shooter. The bolt action makes him slow down rather than pull the trigger fast but the 7-round magazine doesn't make him reload after every shot. Sights needed a slight adjustment but that was an easy fix. Gun is well built and comes apart easily for cleaning. Highly recommend this rifle for a smaller/younger shooter to learn the fundamentals.
