A: Kyle - you can ... but it isn't really recommended and you might not get as much accuracy from 5.56 as from .2223. .223 in a 5.56 is fine. 5.56 in a 223 Wylde is OK. 5.56 i a 223, while it is often done, isn't really recommended and if you were to have a problem with the gun, Remington would likely not stand behind it if you were shooting 5.56. Some folks will tell you go ahead, no problem. But it isn't their gun.

A: Kyle, It most likely will have nary an issue but, due to safety and warranty reasons. it is not recommended to fire 5.56NATO rounds through the rifle.
