The Ruger American Ranch Rifle Gen II combines a compact bolt-action design with practical features for hunting, range use, and field carry. Its 16.1-inch medium-contour barrel is cold hammer forged, spiral fluted, and threaded 1/2x28, with a factory-installed radial port muzzle brake. Cerakote protection on the barrel, muzzle brake, receiver, and bolt handle provides a durable, easy-to-maintain finish. The FDE Splatter synthetic stock offers a secure, comfortable grip and includes a recoil pad designed to reduce felt recoil. Its removable spacer adjusts length of pull from 12 to 13.75 inches, while the removable low comb supports proper alignment with either magnified optics or low-mounted sights. A three-position tang safety, Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger, Power Bedding integral bedding block, stainless three-lug bolt, and factory-installed Picatinny scope base complete this versatile rifle. The rifle accepts both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition and includes one 10-round magazine.

Zeroed at 100 yards...
Zeroed at 100 yards and shoots smooth. Bolt was a bit stiff at first but after a few rounds it loosened up. The fluting on the barrel really makes a difference in the nose heavy of some rifles. I wish it had open sights on it. Overall, a great rifle.
