Its 20-inch carbon steel barrels have a matte black finish, while the synthetic stock and forend provide durable, low-maintenance handling. This pales in...
This pales in comparison to the Savage 24. Time will tell on the polymer, 24 takedown is just as easy and seems more sturdy. Shoots fine and is shorter than the 24. The non-takedown 42 has held up to grandchildren use, so I'm hoping my concerns about the poly are not founded.
