The Smith & Wesson M&P15-22 is a lightweight, blowback-operated semi-automatic rifle chambered in .22 LR. Its high-strength polymer construction keeps handling comfortable while retaining familiar AR-style controls, including a functioning charging handle, shell deflector, receiver-mounted safety lever, and six-position adjustable stock. The sixteen-inch threaded barrel includes a flash suppressor, while the adjustable A2 post front sight and dual-aperture rear sight provide a practical factory sighting system. A top mounting rail also supports the addition of an optic.

Wow, this gun is nicer...
Wow, this gun is nicer than the pictures show! I bought this gun for my son's 12th birthday because he wanted a real gun that was purple like a "Halo" rifle. The M&P 15-22 by Smith&Wesson seems to be an amazing rifle. It is light weight but doesn't feel cheaply made. I will be purchasing another!
