The Smith & Wesson M&P15T is a tactical AR-pattern rifle chambered for 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington. It features a 16-inch 4140 steel barrel, a gas-operated semi-automatic action, 7075-T6 aluminum receivers, and a six-position telescoping synthetic stock. Magpul MBUS folding front and rear sights provide a compact, durable sighting system, while the flat-top receiver and accessory rail support the addition of an optic. The rifle has a 30-round capacity and measures 32 inches with the stock collapsed or 35 inches fully extended. Its unloaded weight is 6.85 pounds without a magazine.

I haven't had a chance...
I haven't had a chance to put this AR through a full set of paces but, my first impression is very positive. The action is very tight, all parts and pieces seem to be sound, and the gun shoots very tight groups (even with the open sights). So far so good. S&W has put out another excellent product at a great price! I've recently seen some parts in the M&P 15 series fail due to inferior metal however, S&W replaced the parts without question. I can't determine if this unit will fall victim to those same issues but if it does I am rest assured that S&W will replace the parts without hesitation. Wish me luck.

Again A-1 Service from Bud's !! I ordered model # 311041LE and a few days later my FFL called telling me it had arrived .. Finish and fit on the S&W AR-15 MagPul Tactical was very good .. color was even with no botches of differing shades of black .. the fit was very good no rattles or anything loose .. Receiver and bolt group was quite dry .. no lube was evident through out the AR .. The Barrel is a 1 to 8 twist not the 1 to 9 listed in the description of the AR on the model page .. After a good cleaning and lube its ready for the range ..
