I love this rifle, I had a DPMS LR308. I got it down to 3/4 at a 100 but it was so front heavy it was impossible to shoot offhand. Maybe Brock Lesnar would have no problem but I am 5-11 and 230 so no mommas boy. I got rid of it. Now. I think Patton might know a thing or two. He called the garand the greatest battle rifle. This is an improvement. 20 round mags. Same basic action. This rifle with the fibre adjustable stock and the national match trigger and sights is much better than what George saw. The balance is good and mine with the stainless barrel is very accurate. With Lapua brass and 4064 with 175 matchkings mine is a 1/2" gun. I got the S&K mount and put a good quality 4-16x50 scope on it and it is awesome. AND you can still use the opens. I drilled the peep to open the aperture up as the way it comes it is too small. OK in bright day but too small in dim light. Well, it is not too hard to figure out. The M1A is still used by the seals. A real battle rattle. No mattel about this gun. Buy it. You will like it. P.S. With the adjustable cheek rest you can screw it up or down to use the opens or scope.
