A: They are not the same product. Bud's is Model: 534229141 in caliber 45 Long Colt. The Winchester site is Model: 534228137 in caliber "357-38." Both are Winchester model 1873 design. Of course one is a historic gun and the other one is a modern version of the historic gun because there wasn't any caliber "357-38" ammo around in 1873.

A: This should shoot heavy loads fine as Buffalo Bore heavy loads reference the Marlin Lever rifles. However, rather than risk life, limb or warranty, I would ask Winchester to be absolutely certain at Customer Service Department at: 800-333-3288.

A: Hello Lewis, usually if a firearm is treated for hot loads (+p rounds) the item will state soo on the description. These rounds are loaded with a higher pressure that normal forged barrels cannot handle. I have spent time searching all over and can find no information strating it is safe to fire these loads.
