Even with the visually...
Even with the visually disappointing surprise of having a ported barrel (was not in the description at the time), it is a lovely rifle to look at. Slender, clean lines, nice wood, excellent fit and finish. My main reason for buying this gun was the recoil pad: I would not be able to shoot full power loads without it, and it does not take away from it's good looks. I have not been able the take it down and don't care enough to force it.

This is not your Grampa's rifle. Cool gun, don't get me wrong, but for the price, I expected better fit and finish. If you're looking for the feel real '94, spend the money on a good pre-64.
