The Franchi Fenice World Class is a finely appointed 20 Gauge semi-automatic hunting shotgun built around the proven 48 AL design. Its lightweight alloy receiver is nickel plated and decorated with fine scroll engraving and generous gold game-scene inlays, while the high-polish chrome-plated bolt supports smooth, durable operation. The 28-inch barrel is chambered for 2 3/4-inch shells and includes five choke tubes covering Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified, and Full constrictions. An AA-grade, highly figured European walnut stock with an oil finish, gold-plated trigger, rear cross-bolt safety, 14.25-inch length of pull, and fitted hard case complete this presentation-grade hunting shotgun.

I'm not sure what...
I'm not sure what happened with the other person who rated the Fenice but I had no problems with mine. If you like a light shotgun that swings easy and has little recoil this is the one. The wood is fantastic and the receiver is even more beautiful than expected. My only wish is that the charging bolt be as easy as a Benelli to open. It is a new gun and it's very tight but I expect with more use it will loosen up. I get raving comments about its looks. I bought the 28" barrel and it's great on the range and in the field.

I purchased the...
I purchased the Franchi Fenice after reading many blogs and reviews from other owners. After one box of target loads, the stock started to loose its "tightness". Only after the second box was 1/2 way hone did I see the gap forming between the stock and the trigger housing. I have a 1950's Sears 410 and it is the only other gun in my 30 collection that has ever had this issue. I have yet to contact Franchi, but am dreading the entire warranty experience. I pay $1,200 for a gun so I don't have these problems! It shoots straight, fits well, and is fun to shoot. But honestly I would not recommend a Franchi at this point.
