Product Overview
The Mossberg 940 Pro JM is a 12 Gauge semi-automatic competition shotgun designed for fast, controlled performance in 3-Gun and other shotgun competitions. Its 24-inch vent-rib barrel is finished in Matte Blue and chambered for 3-inch shotshells. The clean-running gas-vent system and specially treated internal components support smooth, reliable cycling, while the competition-level loading port, elevator, and follower are configured for efficient quad loading. An optic-ready receiver with a removable cover plate allows direct installation of Shield RMSc-pattern micro red dot sights. The adjustable stock provides a length of pull from 13 inches to 14.25 inches, along with adjustable drop and cast for a customized fit. A HIVIZ TriComp fiber optic front sight and included Briley extended choke tubes complete the competition-oriented configuration.

I have had this...
I have had this shotgun since May 2025 and it has worked perfectly for me, zero issues or failures. I love the look and feel. The recoil is not bad with it being a semi-auto and the stock pad is comfortable. I primarily use this shotgun as a sporting clays gun and have not ran into issues with too much spread at farther distances with the modified choke. I have throughly cleaned it a couple times now and its easy to disassemble and put back together. I would definitely recommend this shotgun to everyone.

So, the good, this is...
So, the good, this is my 2nd one. The safety and bolt release are improved over my other 940 Pro. It is cut for an optic if that is your jam, not for me. The bad, the trigger guard is PLASTIC!!! My other one is metal. Seems like a pretty important detail. That was one of the main reasons I chose this over the Beretta ultimate patrol. Pretty disappointed.
