To start off I have...
To start off I have had My Tristar Viper G2 Titanium 12 gauge with dark gray laminated stock for 2 weeks for this review. It is a very beautiful firearm, I am so very happy that I bought this shotgun. When I received my shotgun I put it together to check it out and the only trouble I had was when you put the barrel into the receiver part, I had to ensure the bolt was all the way forward and not locked back. I had to move the bolt a few times back and forth a little bit 1-2 inches to get the barrel to seat properly/into the receiver. I checked the feel of the shotgun and I did not have to make any shim changes. It fit me perfectly. Within 30 minutes that same day I went right to trap range since it was close to my home, 10 minutes away. I checked the barrel for any debris, it was clean and that is all I did. Basically right out of the box, I shot 50 rounds through the shotgun, added few rounds into the magazine, ejected the empty's quickly (used Winchester hunting/trap loads of 2 3/4, 1200 fps, 1 1/8 load, #7 1/2), It worked flawlessly, Truly No Problems. Went home to completely clean the shotgun inside and out. Taking the barrel off was easy, now for removal of the operations handle/bolt lever you need to push the face of the bolt sleeve back at least 1/3 to 1/2 the way into the receiver and then move the small slit that is on the bolt side so you can get the operations handle/bolt lever out. Overall that was not to difficult. I removed the bolt, springs and took out the trigger assembly and that has one side pin. Cleaned all parts with G96 Complete Triple-Action Gun Treatment and that is what Tristar company suggest is what they use on there products. After it was all cleaned and lubricated up from the G96. I put it back together. No problems with the trigger assembly, spring, operations handle/bolt lever and again i line up the small slit on the bolt sleeve to place it back in. I did have a problem with the barrel again. Make sure the bolt is all the way forward then push the barrel into the receiver a little bit, I had to move the bolt back and forth 1-2 inches several times until the barrel was properly seated. If this review had a rating, I would give this shotgun a 4.8 out of 5, because of barrel difficulty into the receiver. Again I really enjoy shooting this shotgun, it has such a low recoil since it is a gas operated system and I have shot an additional 200 rounds through it.
