Buds execution of the...
Buds execution of the transaction was perfect as usual. I got the shotgun quickly and appearance of the weapon was brand new. It was still in the sealed bag in the box. This one is for my wife primary so I replaced the stock with a Hogue 12 inch LOP stock which seems short for me but works great for her. The standard stock is over 14" which is very long but this is an easy fix. I also added a light mount and a light. The manner in which the barrel fits at the end of the mag tube make this mag tube a very secure mount for a light. I am not a big fan of the breacher barrel. It sticks out enough to limit your visibility. The sight is elevated but provides little clearance. The front sight is a basic white dot. I will be replacing it with a XS big dot sight in the coming days. This would be a great feature to have on the gun from the factory. The mag tube had a wooden dowel in it that limited the loading to two rounds. This was immediately removed by taking the end cap off and thrown in the trash. I am not sure why this have this round limiter in a " tactical model ." I would have preferred a one round extension at the end of the tube ( for a total of 6 in the tube ) but I cannot find one for the 20 gauge Mossberg 500. As is common and noted on Mossberg 500 20 gauges, the fore end if very loose. It wobbles considerably but this does not seem to affect the pump action or the speed of the pump cycling. It just feels cheap. I really like the doorless loading. The safety location is awesome. Safety is stiff but will surely loosen up with time. The finish looks like parkerizing to me. It is a well finished gun. Quality excluding the fore end seems excellent. The trigger is gritty but will probably smooth out. I have low expectations on a shotgun for the trigger but the Remington 870 or Mossberg SA-20 both feel better to me. Shoots well and recoil is light. Areas to improve - Go with a 13 inch LOP stock, Lose the breacher barrel, put on a XS big dot or ghost ring sights, smooth the trigger and tighten up the fore end play. Nice shotgun for Home Defense especially with a few easy modifications!

Great little gun, no failure to feed ever, little to no recoil, however it is very loud and the choke is not removable, comes with a wood dowel in the mag tube holding it down to three rounds, remove the sling mount to remove it.
