The Weatherby PA-459 Reaper is a pump-action 12 Gauge tactical shotgun built for dependable handling and fast target acquisition. Its synthetic stock and forend feature the TWN Industries Reaper Black 3D pattern, while the ergonomic pistol-grip buttstock and textured grip area provide a secure hold. The 18.5-inch chrome-lined barrel accepts 2 3/4-inch and 3-inch shells and is fitted with an extended, ported cylinder choke tube. An adjustable LPA ghost ring rear sight pairs with a fiber optic front sight for quick alignment, and the drilled-and-tapped alloy receiver allows compatible optic mounting. The shotgun holds 5+1 with 2 3/4-inch shells or 4+1 with 3-inch shells.

Although there was no...
Although there was no damage to the box, the rear sight ring was broken right through. It's still usable (sort of) but is cracked all the way across the top. It's a fairly cheap piece and probably cheap to replace. The gun itself seems solid without being too heavy. The front fiber optic sight gives good visibility and is easy to quickly acquire, although like any fiber optic sight it will not perform well in low light conditions. The grip and fore-end are ergonomically shaped and both comfortable and secure to hold. The stock has a nice thick soft rubber recoil pad. It remains to be seen if it is also durable, it seems like it would fall apart if treated roughly. Not too much else to say. A great price for a pistol-grip, easily-mobile defensive shotgun.
