This was my 3rd...
This was my 3rd Cimarron pistol I have purchased from Bud's Guns, and once again it was the best deal I could find anywhere. I love that you can make an offer and get even a better deal. Their free shipping on every gun is a huge plus in my decision to come back to Bud's. This 1847 Walker Cimarron is a HOSS and the fit and finish is beautiful and absolutely perfect. I sent it off to Kirst Konversion for the 45 LC cartridge conversion and should have it back in a few weeks. It is amazing how Uberti and Cimarron always get these replicas perfect in every detail. I will be buying from Bud's again, I have my eye on another Cimarron and will be making another purchase soon.

I unboxed, cleaned,...
I unboxed, cleaned, and then shot my new Walker Revolver this weekend. It is a great blackpowder revolver. It has very nice fit and finish and perfect engraving. It is a beauty, and a monster of a handgun. Keep in mind this is a REPRODUCTION...and an authentic one....so it comes with the same characteristics as the originals, and some of the problems too. I love it for it's history...and I respect the issues the old guys had to deal with. It can be difficult to put caps on as the nipples are not easily accessible in any point of the cylinder's rotation. That is how it was. I fight with the caps not coming off after a shot...I have seen some who claim you can flick it off, but none of mine would come off in this manner. AS a result I need to carry a wooden toothpick form now on to dig those out of the recess without scratching the gun. Also be warned that the main hammer spring is a bear when you disassemble this gun for a thorough cleaning. I need both hands to hold the spring compressed and thencocked the hammer to the correct position with my chin. I am sure there is a better way but on my first cleaning that is how I managed to hold it in place until I got the grip frame back on. Shooting is rather glorious. This one has a lot more POP to it than a regular .36 or .44 replica as it can hold more powder. Lots of bang, and plenty of smoke. I highly recommend this BP revolver.

This thing is a lot of...
This thing is a lot of handgun, it's more like a two hand gun. I received mine a few weeks ago and have had the opportunity to shoot it several times. It has worked flawlessly and the word fun does not even begin to describe this gun. It is an excellent replica and very well made. I'm not sure how they holstered this thing back in the day, because it is so heavy. I got an extra cylinder for mine and the #10 percussion caps fit great on this gun. I highly recommend this revolver for anyone looking for a very large black powder firearm.
