The Devil Dog Arms 3.5 9mm 1911 is a compact semi-automatic pistol built around a domestic investment-cast steel frame and a heat-treated, machined 4140 steel slide. Its 3.5-inch match-grade 416 stainless steel barrel is button rifled, double stress relieved, and fitted with a match-grade barrel bushing for consistent performance. A flat-top slide with oversized front and rear serrations provides a distinctive profile and positive handling, while 22 lines-per-inch front-strap checkering improves control. The pistol is finished in FDE/Tan Cerakote and equipped with Kensight DFS fixed white-dot sights, a three-hole aluminum trigger, manual thumb safety, and grip safety.

After returning this...
After returning this firearm to DDA twice for problems with FTF and FTE and once for repair of a broken ejector, I am very happy to report that this is the firearm that I expected when I bought it and paid a premium price. After 250 rounds there was one FTF but probably user error. Otherwise the gun has functioned perfectly. It is a real pleasure to shoot and very accurate with the bull barrel especially considering its 3.5" length. Sights are excellent. Take down and cleaning very easy with the two piece guide rod. Fit and finish just fine.\\r\ \\r\ When I purchase a firearm it is with the thought of using it for self defense which requires reliability. So was disappointed with the initial problems experienced and having to return it for work. Also I had purchased a pair of smooth burled wood grips and a leather holster before the gun arrived. But I have to say that the customer service and shipping office at Devil Dog Arms is very responsive and probably better than most other firearm companies. They were excellent and worked well with me to fix the problems.\\r\ \\r\ Am giving this firearm a 4 star rating only because of the initial problems with a $1400 gun. Otherwise because of the customer service I received and function of the firearm after repairs, it would rate a 5 star.\\r\ \\r\ I would recommend highly this or other Devil Dog Arms firearm.\\r\ \\r\
