The Iver Johnson Eagle XL Ported is a full-size 1911-style semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP and built around a long 6-inch barrel. Its 24K gold plated finish covers the hand-polished slide, frame, and components, giving the pistol a distinctive presentation-grade appearance. The ported slide and barrel are designed to reduce felt recoil and weight, while the solid 1045 steel frame and 4140 steel slide provide a durable foundation. Target-oriented features include an LPA TRT fully adjustable white dot rear sight with a dovetail front sight, front and rear angled slide serrations, an extended slide stop, and an extended thumb safety. Black Dymondwood grips with alligator skin checkering, a beavertail grip safety with memory cut, lowered and flared ejection port, three-hole trigger, skeleton hammer, and beveled magazine well complete the configuration. The pistol includes one gold plated 8-round magazine and is not intended for use with +P ammunition or reloads.
