The Kimber Next Generation Pro Stainless Optics Ready is a refined 1911 pistol chambered in 9mm and built on a compact Pro-length configuration. Its forged stainless steel construction, hand-fitted assembly, and precision machining provide a durable foundation, while the 4-inch flush-fit bull barrel balances practical handling with consistent accuracy. The optics-ready slide accepts RMR and SRO-compatible setups and includes an aluminum C&H cover plate and RMR adapter plate. An ambidextrous thumb safety, 1911 grip safety, full-length guide rod, external extractor, and match-grade GT trigger support confident operation. Black walnut grips with G10 inlay, front and rear checkering, and elevated slide serrations complete the pistol’s functional, classic design.

This is a five star...
This is a five star pistol. I gave it three stars for the damage to the barrel. Once I pulled it apart, the top side of the barrel looked like it had been dropped on concrete. This obviously happened before it was assembled. I was able to file it off and sand over where the damage was. I'm happy enough with it now, but Kimber loses a couple stars for seriously lacking quality control.
