A: It's a faux suppressor but it's only for looks really doesn't serve a purpose. Some fake suppressors throw gases and sound forward making it sound quieter but don't actually lower the decibel level. A: Totally removable but as mentioned below, the barrel is not actually threaded to accept a True Suppressor.

A: The barrel runs the full inside length of the fake suppressor and is pencil thin. You could probably have the end threaded but it is not thick enough to create proper 1/2x28 threads and would need to be fitted with some kind of adapter. It can be done but not so simply and would look pretty odd
