Product Overview
The Mossberg 940 Pro Tactical SPX is a semi-automatic 12 Gauge shotgun configured for security and defensive use. Its 18.5-inch barrel uses the Accu-Choke system and comes with a Cylinder choke installed, while the metal ghost ring rear sight and fiber optic front sight provide a fast, durable aiming setup. The drilled and tapped receiver accepts the included optic adapter plates for Shield RMSc, RMR, Docter, and Leupold footprint optics. A redesigned synthetic MultiCam stock provides an adjustable length of pull from 12.5 to 14.25 inches. The integrated heat shield and forend add M-Lok accessory slots and QD sling ports, and the Vang Comp six-shotshell carrier keeps reserve ammunition readily available. An oversized ambidextrous tang safety and enlarged bolt release support efficient operation from either shoulder.

This shotgun rocks!...
This shotgun rocks! Mossberg seems to have smoothed out the burrs from the original 940 Pro Tactical. The SPX is basically a brand new beast...better in every practical way...only thing they could do better is the barrel clamp. I just don't trust the hollow plastic clamp. Everything else is very near perfect. Have about 130 mixed rounds through it. Not. One. Single. Malfunction. Of any kind. Rock solid. I'd bet my life on it.
