The Chiappa Firearms 1911-22 Custom is a .22 LR semi-automatic pistol built around the familiar 1911 platform. Its 5-inch threaded barrel, adjustable target trigger, and adjustable green and red fiber optic sights make it well suited to recreational shooting and target practice. The pistol features blued finishes, a steel slide, a lightweight alloy frame with a beavertail and Picatinny rail, and diamond-checkered walnut grips. Not the best build...
Not the best build quality. The firearm functions well but the slide will not remain locked to the rear with a magazine inserted. Simply shaking the gun in my hand, much less a slight tap or laying it down with the mag inserted will cause the slide to slam forward putting the gun in battery. Without the mag the slide will hold steady but a sidewards glance will drop the slide if there is a magazine inserted. Otherwise the thing is fairly accurate and cycles well with bulk ammo.
