The Remington 1911 R1 Enhanced is a full-size single-action pistol chambered in 9mm and built around a steel frame and slide. Its 5-inch match-grade stainless barrel uses a 1:16 left-hand twist, while the anodized aluminum match trigger supports a crisp, consistent trigger press. A beavertail grip safety with a checkered memory bump, enhanced wide thumb safety, and flat 20 lines per inch checkered mainspring housing provide secure handling. The sighting system combines an adjustable rear sight with a red fiber-optic front sight, and front and rear slide serrations provide positive manipulation. Dark laminate grips complete the classic configuration.
