With the same 3 1/2" chambers of the Swamp Magnum, the Reaper is built to slay turkeys! Offering what single-barrel turkey guns cannot, this magnum shotgun allows a hunter to equip two vastly different chokes, allowing the choice of short range or long range constriction with the flip of the barrel selector switch.

Shorter 26" barrels make it more maneuverable in the woods or blind, while the top Picatinny-style rail makes adding an optic easy as can be. Polymer stocks clad in Realtree Xtra Green help it blend in, and adding a sling is simplified with QD swivels front and back. The Reaper Magnum ships with five extended interchangeable chokes, including an extra full.

This has been a really great purchase for me. The CZ Reaper Magnum is everything I could have asked for in an over/under bird gun. I've taken turkey, and quail with this beauty. It's light, comes in a variety of finishes (I went with the mossy oak) and you can't beat the easy to pick up front sight.

The firearm is very light. I added a butt stock absorber to handle the extreme kick. I do not find the kick to be deal killer but I would not recommend using this firearm in a dove field or where multiple boxes are fired. The closure seats but the lever does not travel back to center. I am pleased with the pattern and will use this heavily during turkey season. Other then the lever issue the firearm looks to have good workmanship.

This gun looks and shoots great! I’ve only had it a couple weeks and only have a couple boxes of shells through it, but it’s been a blast. The more I mess with it the more I like it. The automatic ejectors work well, camo and all the fine details look good, and it feels smooth and well made. It does kick pretty good with 3.5”, but a recoil pad settled them down and I mostly just use them for hunting anyway. It was nice to be loaded up with choke tubes as well, but I was disappointed to not get a full choke since it’s a hunting gun. Still, there are plenty to chose from. It’s definitely got me pumped up to hunt some red heads!

Wish I had a review to read before buying this shotgun and it has not only shortcomings, but manufacturing defects that customer service is not taking care of. I will start with shortcomings...the safety/barrel switch is LOUD...cost me a turkey as i was switching barrels. The choke selection is poor for a turkey gun...XF and IM are the tightest chokes...comes with CYL, LM, M, IC...fine for skeet, quail, doves etc...but the turkey gun should have two XF's or XF/F. And the XF chokes on the website have been unavailable for purchase. Now the big one...the upper and lower barrel are not parallel They are divergent. I've read others having the same issue. The spread it about 15" at 40 yards which will make your gun an expensive single shot. Now the kicker...Customer service replied they allow 4.5" of spread at 25 yards...mine was more than this and was found to be defective. I am typing this review on 10/9/2018 and I sent my gun in for testing and correction in June....CZ is still in possession of my shotgun and have not remedied the situation. I was given other choices such as refund of purchase price only (not taxes, x-fer costs, FFL, shipping or anything else...creating a financial loss for me...exchange it for another shotgun (not a Reaper that works properly) or continue to wait. CZ will not exchange it for a different firearm (non-shotgun). This very, very poor customer service. I have never run into a situation where a firearm manufacturer/distributor would let something like this go on and on. I'm thinking that there is likely a flaw in their manufacturing process that is producing a sub-standard product and there is not a Reaper with parallel barrels to replace it with or it is just poor service. This may be a "tip of the iceberg" type of issue and if you own a CZ over/under, I'd recommend you test fire it to check for barrel alignment.

Over all I am very satisfied with the CZ Reaper. I have only shot it about 20 times but it seems well made and well put together. It is a little stiff to operate but that is to be expected of any new break open firearm. It seems to place the patterns on top of each other at about 35 yards and they are in line with the sight. I will do more in-depth patterning with my chosen Turkey loads later on a true pattern target to be sure that it does what I want it to do. I like the Camo dip job and I like the fact that it has sling swivel attachments already in place. My only complaints are that for a 3 1/2 inch magnum it has no real recoil pad. It has a rubber butt pad but there is no give in it at all. I'm going to have to have a real recoil absorbing pad installed. The other slight complaint is the barrel selector switch arrangement which is incorporated into the safety (similar to Browning Citori). In order to select which barrel to fire first the safety must be in the Safe position and then shifted right or left for the Over or Under barrel to fire first. I have several Browning Citori's which use this same type arrangement and many times I have had a failure to fire on those guns if the safety was accidentally placed in the middle of Over or Under and not positively set to one or the other. I have other Over/Under guns which have the barrel selector located in the top of the actual trigger and they are advantageous for two reasons - first you can select which barrel to fire while the safety is already Off, so you don't have to move the selector back to Safe and then over to the different barrel and then up to Fire if you choose to fire the different barrel - Click - Click - Click.. And second, the selector in the trigger is much quieter and trust me; quiet is very important when pursuing Turkeys. The selector in the trigger is also very sensible in that without looking you can feel which way it is set. The true test will be how it patterns with Turkey loads and I can't do that until I get a Real good recoil pad on it.
