The Aegis Elite family is a revival of the Aegis line (discontinued at the end of 2016). Unlike the older Aegis models that were only chambered in 9mm, the Aegis Elite family comes in both .45 ACP and 9mm. The Aegis Elite family features fiber optic front sights, G10 grips and a new pattern of cocking serrations. The Aegis Elte Pro and Aegis Elite Custom both have a rounded heel / mainspring housing. Both the Pro and Custom models also come in a variant with a pre-mounted Vortex Venom mini red dot sight

Everything worked per my expectations except the magazine release was very stiff and it hung up a couple of times. Worked through it and now weapon operates fine.

Absolutely love this new 9mm Kimber Aegis. I purchased a .45 version from another dealer only to discover that it was old stock and needed to be shipped back to Kimber for a safety recall. Its great to see that Buds is selling fresh inventory. I plan to use this 9mm for NRA Action competition where the optics will be very useful. This is the 10th Kimber I have owned and always loved their styling and accuracy.
