Designed for Leupold scopes built after 2003, Alumina Flip-Back lens covers feature powerful neodymium magnets to hold them securely closed and the triple O-ring seals provide maximum protection from the elements. Constructed out of durable 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum, they are precisely machined to allow for quick and easy operation, and a low-profile position, when open, make these Flip-Back lens covers stand above the rest. Excellent, premium product made of aluminum, not plastic for durability and protection of scope lens. Threaded connection to Leupold rifle scope holds cover firmly in place, always positioned properly. Cover snaps back flat against scope tube and holds in place. This is a significant advantage keeping it out of the way while shooting and greatly reduces the risk of the cap catching on something. I broke 2 of the plastic caps over the years before I installed these premium caps. They are not inexpensive, but they are worth it and come with a lifetime warranty.

My first order from Bud's was for a Leupold Alumina Flip-Back Eyepiece Cover for the best Leupold scope I had. It amazed me that these things were so expensive and that Bud's - and many others - did not store these items paired with the related cover for the front of the scope as well. I am happy to say that the item was sent relatively quickly and in excellent working condition. I guess I can now move forward with firearm purchases without worrying about what kind of organization I am dealing with.
