When this rifle arrived I went right to the range and I knew immediately my money was well spent. During my first shoot I noticed a small crack in the butt stock, a defect. I contacted Winchester about the defect and they asked me to ship the gun to their shop, it took several months to repair but when I received the rifle back I was thrilled with the replaced furniture that was finely finished by Winchester. I had the Marbles flip up sight added by a gunsmith who raved about the quality of the firearm, now it’s became my favorite shooter!

This Winchester 1873 has an action that is smooth as butter. Its a solid rifle with the right amount of heft to keep recoil to the absolute minimum. Yet, it's comfortable enough to tote around all day. This is a real tack-driver. And, a fine looking replica of the iconic gun that won the West. The stock is beautiful. The fit and finish are top-notch. This 1873 is the most fun to shoot of all my guns.

I received my new Miroku Winchester 1873 .357/ 38spl in excellent condition. This rifle is a gift for myself and its a beautiful looking firearm. The action is super smooth and I cant wait to test it out at the range. This was my first dealings with Bud’s and found them off Hickok45’s youtube channel. Service was outstanding as the rifle was received on fourth business by my FLL after I ordered it.

A simply beautiful rifle. I’m all in on these Miroku Winchester rifles.
They will be the Belgian Browning’s of a time past. What’s wonderful, Buds Guns and the wonderful people I deal with all the time. Delilah In Management, Gurney in Trades, awesome shipping and packaging. If you have a problem, it’s always resolved as a wonderful buyers experience. Simply be respectful!

I love my Winchester '73. I use it in Cowboy Action Shooting and it hasn't failed me yet. I compared it to other shooter's rifles of different brands that had the short stroke kit installed. The stock stroke on my '73 was comparable to theirs. They were as surprised as I was. Great job Winchester. The reason I bought from Bud's was the free shipping on all firearms.

This is one beautiful gun. The fit and finish are first rate. The 24 inch bbl. however did not feel right in my hands, and I wound up selling, and buying the saddle ring carbine.

I've went and fired my rifle three times now and this thing is about everything I've ever wanted out of a Winchester Repeating Rifle. I bought this rifle because I've always like the guns of the Old West and thought I'd have this as my first firearm. Shooting .38 special ammunition out of this baby was a breeze, you'll barely feel the recoil. Now with .357 magnum you can feel some of the power this weapon is dealing and it's amazing. Overall for my first firearm I give this rifle a solid 10/10. I'll update my review however once I see how the cleaning goes, which I will do very soon!

A:Ben, this Winchester Model 1873 Sporter is made by long time Browning/Winchester partner Miroku in Japan. Winchester should be able to answer if any at all are made in the US. Value is not affected in my opinion. Winchester 800-333-3288 or 801-876-2711See 2 more answers | -

A:Yes Ben, this rifle has a 24" Full Octagon Barrel. This model has a "Polished Blued Receiver and Barrel Finish " and the 534228173 has a "Color Case Hardened Receiver and Blued Barrel". This is the sole difference.See 2 more answers | -
