[5 of 5 Stars!]Fast shipping and good service from Buds.Great lever gun with good fit and finish/wood to metal fit.The Lam. stock looks great and should hold up to any hunting conditions. The trigger sucks on these guns but hey;they always have.Good news is Wild West makes an aftermarket trigger for around 90 buck you can get from Brownnells that will take out all of the slack, creep and give a nice pull if you MUST have better one.But for most people (me inclued) the stock trigger will not hinder your one shot kill at the range most people hunt with a 30-30.I plan to go to the range and sight in the open @ 50 then 100.Then I will put on a Leupold one piece base and QD rings and a Redfield 2x7 33mm.I want to be able to take the scope off/on based on the hunt.Going after big hogs in the brush I want it off, then back to the deer feeder @ 100 yds I want it back on.Leupold says these rings will hold to .5 inch of sightin when you repace the scope.Thats plenty good for M.O.Deer.Right now I plan to do nothing but stay cool.We are at 30 + days of 100 or higher temp. Its going to be 105 today as I write this and 105-107 the rest of the week.I write a range report when things cool off around here.

[5 of 5 Stars!]Good rifle, solid feeling with a smooth action. Fit-up is good. I replaced the buckhorn sight with a Skinner aperture sight and added a tall gold front sight. Then I put on a nylon sling and it is ready for woods carry. It is made for hogs or deer. It feels like a rifle for a lifetime of shooting. It needed no break-in and it shoots 30/30 as good as any other carbine I have. I know Marlin has taken a hit lately but this rifle came out of the factory fine. It is a working rife, especially with that laminated stock.....should take a beating and be a great truck gun.Show More Reviews...
