This is some quite amazing ammunition in my Ruger 77R Tang Safety rifle - accurate and effective. In Alaska, this ammo worked very well on everything from big bears to deer, it does it all and does it well...easily shooting within a minute of angle and deadly on big game...yet safe to use hunting blacktails on the islands frequented by big bears. It isn't a 500 yard round, but really now...who honestly shoots that far anyway? I never have and I've hunted all over North America...never once felt at all handicapped by the Whelen. For my money it's a superb round, and this ammo is the best I've found to use with the tried and true .35 Whelen. The original Ruger...this Ammo...a Leupold 1.75-6X shorty scope...and a Timney trigger...what more does a guy need.
