Nice pistol accurate functions great

This is a blowback 380. It shoots like a small 357 magnum(a little sting). The gun itself is awesome. CZ quality at a fair price. I like that i can carry it cocked and locked.

The CZ-83 was delivered quickly after ordering from Bud's. Firing the 380 acp weapon is like going back in time to the Cold War days. There's a little kick after pulling the trigger, but at self-defense distances it is an accurate firearm. It is built to take decades of use. It is concealable and easy to deploy. Thanks to Bud's.

Classic CZ. Well made, accurate, good trigger, and nice finish. I recommend factory rose wood grips as in upgrade.

I was really excited about owning this pistol. It took about a week to get to my FFL. I cleaned the firearm, which appeared to have been in storage for a while (lots of thick, gummy grease), and headed to my local gun range. Much to my dismay, my CZ83 was all together dysfunctional: the beer can mags were sticky, with uneven spring release, which misaligned with the rough-surfaced, poorly machined feed ramp causing multiple feedings and constant jamming. I managed to get one shot off in three tries. I quit trying out of safety concerns. I hope CZ will help me out. Not happy!

This is a great gun, accurate and reliable. I am very glad I was able to get one.

This is a very high quality pistol. The grip fills the hand, and it is extremely comfortable to shoot. The trigger breaks cleanly and predictably. I'm an average shot, and the gun made me look good. The sights were right on for me. I don't know how long these will be available, and I was glad to be able to get one new.

Gun looks and feels quality, haven't shot this particular one yet. Only complaint is mag release button is a bit stiff but will probably brake in, appears to be made in 2015..., comes in the nice CZ plastic hardcase with cleaning rods and a test target dated 12/10/2015... Did CZ stop making these in 2012 as their website shows and are importing old stock with new stamps or are they making fresh 83s again? Overall would recommend.

What a wonderful shooter! I picked it up today at my FFL and off to the range I went. Did a quick field strip to check it out and proceeded to run 108 rounds through it with zero issues. It ate through JHP, FMJ and some Lehigh Defense Maximum Expansion defensive rounds I had handy. Nary a problem with anything outside of mags being a little hesitant to drop out but I'm going to chalk that up to it being a new gun. But hey, it's a CZ so I kinda expected a happy experience. My 75 Compact is a great piece of work so I expected the same with this 83. I was not disappointed and it lives up to the CZ name very well. I'm extremely happy with this new addition to the collection. There's no telling how much longer these new 83s are going to be available so if you think you want one, get one.

I just got this CZ 83 a few hours ago. It is brand new! Made on October 12, 2015 in the Czech Republic. Serial number and the shooting chart from CZ state that this is when it was made. CZ never stopped making the CZ 83, only that they were not being exported to the USA anymore, the CZ-USA website is not updated. They got imported here somehow, and it was just produced 2 months ago. Thank you Buds, for locating this fine pistol. It does hold only 12 rounds of 380 aka 9 Browning. I was happy to see that it is smaller than I thought, It fits totally hidden down in my kaki pants pockets, no holster. I'm 6'5'' so it has weight to it, but not like your pants are going to come off. If I was going out to eat, not walking for 30 straight minutes, I will take this CZ 83, the safety is like 1911, rest your thumb on it, then push DOWN, when ready to fire, unlike Bersa thunder or Walther you have to push the safety UP then fire, not a natural motion. Looks better than picture. I have 9mm, 5.7, 357 mag, but this 380 will save your life, I bought it because it is a Blowback design and a CZ

If you are looking at this CZ 83 chances are that you already know a little about it. I have been trying to find a nice Surplus version without luck, and regretted not buying a new one when they were commonly available everywhere. I had to get one while I could. I dont know where these came from because the 83 has been out of production for around three years. Im glad I found these at Buds. The pistol is new, and in new condition. No issues between the order, and giving it a good cleaning at home. If you want one of these you better jump on it. Who knows if this opportunity will arise again.
