This American Predator is a top quality one, it shoots super well and I use for hunting deer. I’m super happy with it because of the easy handling and the light weight.

I bought this rifle as my first .308 hunting rifle. I was surprised with how accurate it is. It is constantly getting .75 MOA groups at 100 yards with 168gr bullets. Great purchase regardless of intended use.

This little rifle shoots well. 1.25" groups at 100 yards are normal using a decent scope. The barrel is threaded so a muzzle break is easily added and really does tame the recoil. Overall a good 30 caliber rifle at a reasonable price. Light weight as well making it easier to carry. I highly recommend.

Not just a good but a great rifle. I have a suppressor for this firearm and the fit and accuracy is very good! for a utilty gun that you can grab and go with it has no equal to me.

This is by far my favorite rifle I have ever purchased. I have guns that cost $1000-$1500 and this gun blows them out of the water. The short barrel allow great mobility. It is all around a great gun.

This is my 5th ruger american also the second one Im sending back to ruger quality control should have caught both failures. This one has faulty ejector and my 450 bushmaster had faulty extractor both sent back quality control needs to step up here very disatified 2 bad guns out of 5 thats 40% failure

I purchased a Ruger American Predator in 308 WIN. As always the buying process with Buds was excellent!
I am very happy with the Ruger Predator. It is setup and will be used as a truck gun. What you see is what you get. Nothing fancy - just a very functional, reliable, and accurate tool. I have about 50 rounds through this tool. The barrel showed very little copper fouling during break-in. The trigger adjusted down well. I would recommend the Predator AND Ranch rifle series (I have an American Ranch in 223 / 556 and 762x39). Yes I would purchase again.

Great little rifle. Four and one magazine not helpful at this point looking for a 10-rounder if anybody's got a recommendation out there. but other than that it took every scope I tried on it without a problem. Now I just have to decide which one to put on. Everything you need in one package.

I've only shot it with Venezuelan and Austrian surplus. It shot them great! This is my second RA. This gen 2 has a nicer, more beefier stock and has a channel that free floats the barrel. It also has the magazine insert which can be removed and replaced with one from Ruger for AICS magazine use. This gen 2 also came with a one-piece picatinny rail unlike my gen 1 which had a 2-piece Weaver rail. Once the barrel gets broken in more, I'll start shooting load development in search of that one-hole group. I'm hoping this one is a tack driver like my first gen 7mm-08. For hunting there is no reason to change a darn thing on this gun, unlike my gen 1. They're hard to find in town but Bud's has them and with free shipping, they're a bargain.

Product came to my desired FFL within 7 days of my order. Was packaged fairly well, would have liked a bit more padding, but there were no scratches. Bud's web site was very easy, and the product came as expected. Very happy with Bud's! Now I just have to go shooting!

Great gun, I had them swap mine for the more expensive model with the fluted barrel and can take the 10 rd mags.

I purchased the Ruger American Predator in 308 Win. I debated between 308 win and 6.5 creedmoor, I actually changed my order from 6.5 to 308.
I am very happy with the rifle, the stock is not much to look at but it is very functional. I have not had any issue with the fore stock touching the barrel as some have complained of. I did lap the bolt in using jb bore cleaning compound. While the bolt worked just fine there were some ridges left from the machining and this made the bolt action very smooth. I shot 3 different boxes of ammo the best group was 168gr hornady eld match. At 100 yards off of a less than perfect table I shot a 5 shot group sub moa with 3 shots sharing the same elongated 1/2" long hole. I am very happy with this rifle and at this price I can't see how you can go wrong. The light weight and accuracy make this a great hunting rifle.

I absolutely LOVE Ruger firearms....didn't care for the green stock so I had to Krylon it dark brown...this is a sweet little shooter.

Function and performance from the ruger american predator line is awesome!! This is a budget minded firearm, which is reflected in the cheap stock and rough finish. I am glad that ruger has produced a line that is affordable for anyone without sacrificing on the important things like accuracy, repeatability, trigger function.

This is my fourth Ruger American rifle. If you have one you know how rough the surface of the bolt is. It doesn’t affect function and smooths out with use. However, the bolt on this rifle has random deep scratches going in all different directions. Some appear to have been intentionally scratched into the surface — like with a screwdriver. The bolt has obviously been cycled many many times. Not cool but I can live with it if it shoots as well as my other Ruger American rifles.

I really couldn't be happier with my purchase. The Ruger American Predator in .308 is a mean rifle. The action is smooth and the magazine easy to work. I really like the recoil pad on this rifle, and with the threaded barrel I can add a brake later to minimize the kick (I'm a scrawny guy). Overall I would highly recommend this rifle.

I know this is product review but I haven't fired the gun yet so this is actually going to be a review based on the customer service I received from Buds Guns. The gentleman I talk to on the phone is a direct reflection of the entire company he was very helpful and he speeded the process so that it was just seamless and very pleasant I will definitely be doing business with you folks again if they were stars I would give it five if it was thumbs up I would give it two because I only have two hands. Awesome Rifle. I researched this rifle to death online and it is everything that I thought it would be. Mounted a Nikon Buckmaster 2, 4x12 to it and we are off to have some fun ! First time buyer with Buds Gun and it was a breeze. they did everything they said they would. Will use again when the time comes!
