  • Barrel: machined from bar stock with 7 lands and grooves having a 16‐1 right hand twist.
  • Receiver: 7075‐T6 aircraft grade heat treated aluminum alloy, machined from bar stock.
  • Grip/Frame: Made from Zytel polymer, with ergonomic finger grooves and an integral "RE-COIL CUSHION" on the back‐strap.
  • Recoil Spring System: all steel, fully encapsulated for ease of disassembly and reassembly.
  • Slide Lock/Release: steel with a Zytel over molded polymer extension for ease of operation.
  • 3 dot sight system: steel rear sight, adjustable for windage only with locking screw.
  • Hammer firing system: double action only, internal hammer with inertial firing pin to prevent accidental discharge if dropped.
  • Manual Guarded Safety: Newly designed with a guard molded into the frame.
  • Double action trigger: specifically designed for shooter comfort and accuracy by designing the system to have a smooth effortless, consistent 9 pound trigger pull.

Really hard to load the pistol, also Jam very frequently was informed it needs to be broken in but this isn’t my first rodeo purchasing firearms I’ve never experienced this before ever . Hoping it gets better later ,but also just seeking to purchase me a new one now because that’s not good.

I've had this gun for my CCW for a while now. I take it to the range and practice with it. With the exception of the magazine having problems in the beginning, the gun works well and does what it's intended to do. I did email the manufacturer and the sent me a new set of magazines. Now I have no problems with it. The iron sights are right on and I shoot anywhere between 10 yards and 50 yards. It's light weight and easy to handle. For a budget CCW, you can't go wrong.

Pistol came on time and in good condition. Cleaned and oiled it and went to the range....had no jams or misfires. Lightweight and concealable 9mm at a very reasonable price. Great customer service and lifetime warranty. Good pistol at reasonable price.

I cannot call this a reliable firearm after the experience I have had with it. First time with the SCCY at the range, it fired about 100 rounds, no malfunctions. Second time at range, after firing about 50 rounds it began to malfunction. I was able to pull the trigger full back without it dropping the hammer. The hammer will just hang in a rearward position. Sent the firearm back to SCCY with detailed description of problem. Received the "repaired" firearm about a week later. Back to the range, firearm seemed to be fixed. Now, without even firing a round. The firearm cold. I can only get a few normal trigger pulls before it begins to malfunction exactly the same as it did before it was "repaired" . At this point I would be more confident throwing the entire firearm at an attacker. I is so unreliable that I would feel guilty taking it to a pawn shop and cutting my losses. Because the next owner may actually need it to protect themselves.

POS donkey gun. Huge buyers regret. Should've just kept saving my money. If you're new to firearms please look at the Springfield XDS Mod2 instead... Put down $300 and the rest on layaway if you have too. This gun is horrible. Accuracy is random, slide release doesn't work, the internals are so worn after 30 rounds it looks like it's been through hell and back, rounds don't eject. It's a really thick gun too And no it's not ammo. Its just the horrible gun. And I'm not sending it back to SCCY. Im gonna sell it for $100 on gun broker. Enjoy lol

    Monica, I own 2 SCCY's and have shot +P without issue. I switched back to regular loads since the shorter barrel does not give the expected added velocity but, does increase recoil and muzzle blast. With the standard load, a good hollow point - you will be more accurate with shot placement.

    Ronnie - This is copied directly from the SCCY CPX-1 Owner's manual on the SCCY web site: "After firing the last cartridge, the slide will remain open see Figure 12. This allows the operator to visually check the chamber and magazine area to make certain the firearm is empty."
