Following the trigger safety concerns Sig had the recall and the modification of the trigger to make it safe. Does this include that upgrade?

Yes it does Alexander. Buds cycled through the non upgraded pistols back in May of this year.

I get out of the army in 9 months and I was trying to get ahold of this pistol. Am I able to order this online and have it shipped to Florida? Also most other places I have seen specify only retired military while you guys have honorably discharged as well. Am I unable to purchase this at all as a non retiree?

I assume you are stationed in FL. if so yes you can have it shipped ther to a local FFL. You will have to show a set of orders to prove that you are stationed in FL. Jacob, you are "Active Military" now and only need your DD-214 to purchase. The pistol would have to be shipped to your state of residence to an FFL for transfer to you. You would just need to check with your selected FFL if you are not available to pick it up just yet, will they hold it for you. I purchased this model for professionals only so I'm wondering, is this the militarys version M17 with the black night sight rear sight plate, optional safety, and internals? I read that 5,000 would be released to the civilian market.

It is not Adam but does come with night sights, FDE finish, Striker Fired DAO Trigger, and medium grip module. Comes with three 17RD magazines. Striker Safety: Prevents the striker from releasing unless the trigger is pulled. Disconnect Safety: Prevents the pistol from firing out of battery. 3-Point Takedown Safety , Must remove magazine , Must lock slide to rear , Rotate take-down lever for disassembly without tools or trigger manipulation, Tabbed Trigger Safety.

I just purchased this very gun from Buds today in Lexington. How can I tell if the trigger update has already been done?

William, The easiest way is to remove the slide, turn it upside down. With the barrel opening to you left as you are look down on the slide. On the right side of the slide (rear) there should be a notch (sort of a small half circle) cut into the slide. It may or may not be coated with a protective finish. On my P320 which was an earlier model, I had to send it back to the factory for the upgrade. The notch in mine does not have any protective coating. There are several other changes made to the original P320, but the slide notch is the easiest to see if one is not familiar with all the differences between the original and updated version. I highly doubt that you have an older model, especially if you bought it from Buds as their inventory turns over fairly quickly with popular gun models. You can go on YouTube as do a search of P320's. There is a plethora of videos on all the changes Sig made and should give you more peace of mind about your new Sig. There are also a lot of tips and tricks on cleaning and maintaining the P320. I hope you enjoy using the P320, it's a fine hand gun to shoot.

I purchased this in late Febuary 2018, lubed it with Avacado cooking oil which has a 500 degree smoke point. Out of the box I put 200 rds through it with NO ISSUESS at all. The P320 FDE Full Size ran FLAWLESS !!! The slide is a beautiful bronz / copper cerokote like finish. I bought the full size version which is a little heavier and helps me with muzzle control. I found it to be very accurate at any distance. The trigger is amazingly crisp and has the SRT (Short Reset Trigger) that would rival anything from Apex which I have in my full size S & W. .40 cal. It has the Sig night sights that are standard which are nice. Field stripping is easy because no tools are needed and no pulling the trigger to take the slide off. All you do is lock the slide back turn the little thingy on the side down pull back on the slide and off it comes ! From there you can clean your Sig or change the caliber of to 9mm, 40 cal, or .357. The grips do not have the serial number on them, it's on the trigger mechcanisim so you can change the grips from small to large. It comes with a medium grip and if needed you can purchase a different size to fit your hand. You cannot break down the P320 with the magazine it. This is a nice saftey feature, and speaking of safety it came with the upgrade that keeps the gun from discharging in case you drop it on its slide. Sig Sauer hit a homerun with this ! With Buds layaway plans you can easily afford one of these beauties. Get you one !

This gun already had the trigger upgrade completed and came in fast orderly time. This was my first gun purchase from Bud's and it went very smooth. For the gun itself, very well packaged and included 3 mags, the night sights, and a very well made weapon. The medium grip is included and fits my hand well. I've fired about 50 rounds through it so far with no issues whatsoever. This is how a gun was meant to feel!

Arrived quickly and in new condition. Great trigger, good SigLite night sights. Good to go, out of the box, though I may upgrade sights to X-Ray 3. Shoots to point of aim. Have run ammo ranging from 80 grain Fort Defense - which was accurate but did not cycle the gun - to Black Hills Barnes 115, Gold Dot 124+P, Critical Defense 115, Critical Duty 135, Federal Bonded 135, and Federal HST 147 +P, plus range ammo in 115, 124, and 147. Only the 80 had problems. Everything else ran perfectly. Best accuracy was with HST and Critical Duty, but the others were not at all bad. Point of impact showed minimal shift across the weight ranges. Interesting chronograph results, compared to a P320 compact 9mm. 115-124 grain bullets ran 30-80 fps faster in the full size, but 135 and 147 ran 10 fps faster from the compact. My guess is the reduced powder capacity with the longer bullets meant the powder was fully consumed by the 4” mark, so the extra .8” of barrel in the full size just acted as drag. Accuracy at 20 yards was good. Kept 25 of 25 Critical Duty 135+P in the big, center red diamond of a Redfield rifle sight-in target, shooting from standing Isosceles, without a rest. Currently have this one in the bedside lockbox, with a StreamLight TLR-1 attached.
