The Ruger Blackhawk Bisley .22 LR is really fun to shoot. If you have been wanting to try the "Bisley" style of grip and hammer this is
a very nice revolver to get. I did have a very tight loading gate and a tight cylinder which did not affect the function and accuracy of the revolver.
I shot 500 rounds through it with no change and the loading gate was still hard to open so I called Ruger , sent it in for service and they had
it fixed and back to me in less than 10 days. I would definitely. recommend this revolver if you want a "Bisley" style.

I had a very nice exemplar of one of these, though the trigger was just okay. It had some take up slack. I received another exemplar that was visibly poorly machined, had rough tooling on the breach and drag on the hammer. I didn't keep it.

A+ for excellent customer service, bar none.
The web site is accurate and well organized.
Bud's is not the cheapest site, but does have a huge inventory and modest shipping charges.
If you don't pay with a credit card, Bud's passes the savings back to you.
My only real gripe is the processing delay with ACH transfers to get the cash price.
My bank shows the debit instantly, but every Bud's ACH transaction delays 7 days until it posts.
After it posts, there is another 2 days spent in the "shipping" department.
After that, is another 7 days shipping time for rifles, 2-day air for hand guns.
Plan on 16 days from date of order, to date of delivery.
Here in California, add in the mandatory 10-day waiting period, and the mandatory 30-day waiting period between hand guns.
Cowboy shooters buying a matched set of revolvers have a 40-day wait before they take possession in CA.

Wow what a great piece and a steal at around 4 hundred. I wanted a bisley .22 for a while. Make no mistake this is a blackhawk built like a tank. This one only comes with a .22 cylinder and im ok with that. The action is very nice and i kept everything in 2 1/2 inches or so at 25 yards . The sights are all black so i think accuracy would improve with some fiber optic inserts. Overall very happy with this gun.

I wanted as a companion to a 454 casull super blackhawk. Very accurate. Great trigger.

Very nice and not so expensive gun! Shooting is fun. Picky when it comes to ammo though. Tried to use Remington (led) and the bullets would not fit in the cylinder! Also one has to make sure that the cartridge sinks completely into the cylinder by pushing it hard down. One more thing: it came with the left grip pad thinner than it should be. I called Ruger and they shipped the whole set to me for free. Other than that - no complaints. And Buds - the best as always!

A:Nicholas, The draw to this handgun and reason people have collections of Bisleys is because of the Bisley grips. The Bisley grip on a revolver is designed specifically for one handed target shooting.See 1 more answer | -

A:Eugenijus, this is a discontinued model that was replaced by the "Single Six". Ruger made some improvements to smooth-en the action and decrease the weight with a fluted cylinder on the Single Six. They also made available an optional 22Magnum Cylinder to the Six for added power for small game hunting.
