I got this gun a couple of weeks ago, and I couldn't be happier. I mainly purchased it for Home Defense/CCDW/Something fun to shoot. It satisfies all three very well. It is small enough to be a concealed carry, while large enough to pack a punch without a whole lot of recoil. The .40 S&W is a great round, as well, bigger than a 9mm, smaller than a .45 ACP -- right in the middle. A 13-round mag isn't too shabby either. This gun is also very simple to field strip and clean, and can stand up to extreme conditions (there is a youtube video of somebody shooting this underwater) making it a really well rounded weapon. And, of course, it is a blast to shoot =) I've only put a couple hundred rounds through it, but it has only failed once -- an empty casing failed to eject properly -- but I believe that was due to the cheap ammo I was using (bad casings). Other than that, it has been unbelievably reliable. Lastly, there have been some reports of KaBooms with these guns (misfires resulting in the destruction of the gun + possible harm to the person). In most cases this was due to 'reloaded' ammunition (improperly loaded or 'hotrodded'). Either way, I know of many people who use these guns (they are also standard issue for the FBI) and nobody I know of has suffered from one of these, making me think that much of the accidents was user error; especially given Glock's legendary name for reliability. Just my 2 cents, though.

I bought this weapon a year ago for my birthday present and it has never left my side. In that year, not a single jam at the range. I have also been carrying this piece for that whole year's duration and even tho I am smaller framed (5'6" and 140lbs), it still fits me just right. Overall a very comfortable, reliable and well made pistol.
