Yes it handles 2 3/4 shells just fine It may not cycle with some of the low recoil target loads but 2 3/4 hunting loads will be fine

Does anyone no if the saiga drum will fit I saw it on you tube but briefly? This rifle seems like a real bargain is it new or not very popular? And common problems with it?

Is the barrel threaded inside and out? Would like to add a muzzle brake and use different chokes on occasion. What choke does it come with?

Hi David, It doesn't include a choke and it is Muzzle Threaded Metric 22x.75 so you should be good to add a muzzle brake. The KS-12’s barrel is a 18″ tube with a threaded muzzle, just like the one on the Saiga series. Instead of using a set of chokes that screw into the inside of the muzzle of the barrel, you adjust the KS-12’s choke by tacking on a muzzle device that performs the same action. While it’s slightly easier to change in the field, it also makes the barrel longer and heavier than needed.

Works well, have not had any problems and would buy it again. One drawback to the AK style shotguns is you have to hold the bolt back, it doesn't lock, to install a new clip.

Great little shotty. Ran fine through the first 200 buckshot I put through it.
The 10 round magazines are huge and definitely require some extra drills to reload.
Dont take it for granted just because you can shoot fine with an AK.
If you have problems running specific loads, you'll need to mess with the gas.
Excellent weapon to add to anyone's cache.

I was a little bit apprehensive prior to the purchasing of this firearm, simply because of the limited background that Kalashnikov USA has, but I decided to give them a chance by testing this as my guinea pig. So far, so good. I've used this thing a handful of times in the just about month I've owned it. I've run light, cheap target load all the way up to federal 00 buck and federal slugs. At this point I can say with undeniable certainty that this shotgun runs a variety of loads way more reliably then my VEPR 12. I purchased a few SGM Tactical Saiga mags and ran them through they're paces, the shotgun having a total of around 750 shells through it now. The sight option is something to get used to but the gun shoulders naturally and shoots true with my ks-12t repeated hitting of a 10 inch plate at 100 meters. I got to say I am impressed with my first offering from Kalashnikov USA and look forward to trying other K-USA firearms as they hit the market.

Kalashnikov!! What more do I need to say. This thing is awesome. It ran everything I fed it, (high and low brass - 2 3/4 or 3" mag) right out of the box and just like my AK47, it cycles like a sewing machine.

simply amazing , center mass precision with 3 inch magnum slugs at 25 yards . could not be more pleased with this shotgun so far to date . bravo kalisnakov bravo. and thank you budsgunshop. very pleased with overall performance . ☆☆☆☆☆
