The finish on these police trades is in poor condition. They are 100% functional. These would be the perfect gun for a cerakote/hydrographic project.

I bought two used model 10's poor condition, they are as they were described. Well worn blueing, ugly aftermarket grips with a lot of wear, on grasping the revolver I found that the grips helped with a consist-at hold. I finally was able to do a function test, the grips worked as expected but they still UGLY. the revolver's worked, shot, functioned as they should. Still to cold and snowy to do extended shooting sessions on my range. I can't wait for better weather conditions to shoot these guns on paper! Bud's always has good service!

Rough old revolver, but at this price it is perfect. I bought it for my boat gun, but like it so much I am going to put a Powers Trigger and springs in it and send it down to Birdsongs to have it Black-T'ed. Thanks again buds!

I think the revolver I received is the one pictured. It was filthy dirty but cleaned up wonderful! Barrel is spotless and the action is tight. Don't know how they managed to scrub off all the bluing and not have it covered with rust. It's a gem! I'm completely satisfied with it! I'd buy another if there were any left!

I’m very happy that l decided to order this gun! It’s a gamble on how nice of a gun you recieve but l was a lucky one. The gun itself is very clean with little wear. It locks up tight and cylinder is very clean. It also has great timing. The only issue mine has is the trigger is broke off about 3/16 from the tip. No biggie. I filed it smooth and it still works fine. I bought a poor version but l feel it was only categorized as poor because of the trigger because the rest of the gun is nicer than the guns they sold as the nice ones. I have no regrets and easily feel l got my moneys worth. If l was rich l probably would have ordered another before they sold out. These guns are well worth the money. Mine is a 10-6 made in 1975 and l think these older guns are better made than the new. Holster wear doesnt make it junk! I feel buds treated me right once again!! Thanks!

I bought the $269 version and was extremely happy with it. I thought I would try the $229 "poor" model. I couldn't be happier. I received a model 10-6, that was manufactured the same month and the first one I bought. ( The serial numbers were a few digits off from the first one) The gun is in great mechanical condition. The poor version had more surface rust that came right off with 0000 steel wool. The price has increased to $266 for these, but they are so close to the original $269 versions, I would do it again. Bud's customer service as always, is top notch. Quick shipping.

Smith & Wesson model 10-8 arrived quickly ,and in much better condition than I anticipated. I am very happy with the revolver and the price. A Smith & Wesson 10 , for home protection at this price is just about unbeatable. In my opinion a used Smith & Wesson is a much better investment than a new low end 38 revolver. It will hold its value , parts are readily available ,its proven and very reliable and is built to last. Thanks Buds

A:Timothy, you should keep it "Wish Listed" for notification but this particular pistol comes up every couple of months. The wood grip models have pretty much dried up.See 2 more answers | -

A:Zachary, I would imagine with the age of this pistol it would be grand fathered in but am not sure. Usually if it is not specifically on the CA DOJ Approved Roster it's a no go. -
