I debated which one to get, the original in 45 Colt or this one in 357 mag. I went with the 357 because of the cost of ammunition and the ability to shoot 38 spl through it as well. My FFL had opened the box to look at it before I received it and said "that is a great looking gun". I couldn't agree more. This is my first and probably my only CAS six gun. I bought a leather holster on Amazon to go with it. I didn't care for the Brass look so I went with the steel finish. I love the way the grip feels and the weight of the gun is just perfect. Shooting 38 spl feels like it's really shooting only .22. There is a very slight recoil, hardly worth mentioning. I find the sight to be pretty accurate at 20 feet. Haven't yet shot it any further. My only concern with this gun is the screws. After shooting about 15 rounds through it, I looked down and noticed that the front screw right below the cylinder was backed out almost ready to fall out. I screwed it in and then checked all the other screws on the gun. Every one of them was VERY loose. I tightened them all down. The front screw I first checked came loose again after just another 10 shots. The others all remained tight. I think I may have to put some non-permanent lock-tite on that one to keep it in check. I was glad I saw it before I lost it. The screws being loose is a factory manufacturing control issue. I hope that isn't the standard. If not for the screw issue I would have given this gun a perfect score. I have also noticed that the detent under the cylinder which locks it in place after cocking, is leaving a little mark on each detent notch in the cylinder. So if you want this gun for a show piece, don't cock the hammer, ever.

Very nice gun. Hard to beat for the price.

Little bit rough on the finish, but that just adds to the old time feel. Solid as a rock. Shooting the single action revolver is like shaking hands with American West.
