Very happy for the amount I paid. Banner scope holds zero. Accutrigger is fine. Extremely tight headspace. Can actually use the same precision loaded ammo that I load for $800 CZ 527. Using SMK 69gr. bullets, can shoot 1/2" MOA. Rare to have 2 guns to shoot interchangeable ammo with .001 headspace and both loving the same bullet. Savage may be a touch more accurate than the CZ.

Great rifle. I went with laminate stock and don't regret it. I swapped the scope for Nikkon P223 scope that ballistic drop matches the ammo I use. Laser bore sited it and it is spot on at 50-450 yards. I am sure it is fairly accurate farther out I just have not had the time and space to target farther out.

I've had this rifle for a little over a year, here are my thoughts. ~500 rounds through it so far.
Overall it's great 4.5/5 for me so I round up to 5 for Buds. (which as always is great to work with, fastest shipping in town)
It's pretty darn accurate, I was just out yesterday and got 3 separate 3/4" groups at 100 yards. with cheap .223 Rem 55 grain FMJ-BT! With match ammo I would expect it to be even more accurate. The scope is really nice for a bundled scope, It's not a weaver scope as advertised but instead a Bushnell with bullet drop reticle It's nice and I don't plan on changing it as it's super clear and does what I need it to do.
The stock is high quality hardwood of some kind (I'm no wood pro sorry folks) but it's durable and feels solid. It does give it some extra weight over the polymer version obviously, but in the .223 Remington the extra weight basically puts it 1 step over a 22lr in terms of recoil, I don't even lose my sight picture on a target @100 yards. Rubber butt pad is sufficient and is no-slip.
Sling mounts front and rear are solid, Mounted a cheap bi-pod and sling and it's all held up great in my light use. (not a hunter but the rifles do get toted around by the sling often)
Here's where it loses points. The magazines are expensive, $40 for a 4 round mag :( At least it came with the upgraded gen2 savage magazines with the button rather than plastic tab. Also, I've had 3 light primer strikes with the rifle and the same cartridge will fire in my AR-15, but wont fire no matter how many tries in the Savage. I believe it's a head spacing issue but I think It's adjustable. It happens so rarely I have always put it off but it's something to note. These are my only complaints with the firearm. Savage makes a heck of a rifle for the price. Hardwood stock WITH a scope for about $370 at the time was great for my budget.

This is a very nice gun. It's a little on the heavy side for a small caliber, but that's because of the wooden stock, which I prefer over synthetic. The bolt works smoothly and it loads the next round smoothly without fail. I think I'm going to love this gun.

Tack driver at 300 yards. I was surprised the stock is a Boyds Hardwood. Solid set up from the factory and I am please with the scope that came with it.

Based on the comment posted to my account I am only allowed to write a review based on the product . The product was received and and inspected . It was found to be in excellent condition and it came with a nice Bushnell CF500 scope already mounted . This rifle is also eligible for the manufacturers 60.00 rebate .

Excellent service from Bud's and excellent price also. First trip to the range with this rifle gave easy 1 inch or less groups at 100 yards even with the cheap Weaver scope. I will be upgrading the scope in the next few weeks although the Weaver is entirely serviceable. Only complaint, and it is minor, is don't believe that the scope is properly bore sighted, plan on redoing it yourself.

I absolutely love the gun i purchased. I only have one disagreement with the combo though. When i ordered the rifle it states it has a weaver scope. I didn't realize until i got home with my gun and was completely looking over it and noticed that the scope is a Bushnell instead.

A:Dan, there is no current eta in the current high demand, low supply market. Just place it on both your Wish and Notify Me Lists and Buds will send you an email notification if/when available. I would check on large gun and accessory sites like (6)un (8)roker as discontinued and hard to find firearms and accessories show up for sale by private individuals and small shops. Just replace (6) & (8) with G & B.See 2 more answers | -
