Love my rifle from Budsgunshop. Super friendly service. Great rifle for a budget gun. Very accurate and well made rifle. Just make sure when you first buy to tighten all your screws to make the rifle more accurate.

Ordered it in Tuesday, signed for it on Friday. Wow. Order was just as described. I haven't had time to take her out to the range yet. The rifle is very lightweight. With a back problem like mines, this is perfect for me. The Bolt locks up tight as expected. So, no issues there. I wish the magazine would hold more rounds. The only problem I had was, when i stopped by my FFL to pick up my rifle, I could not find my name or number listed on the box or packaging. Had I not called my FFL and gave him the tracking number, he would not have been able to verify who the order belonged to. Not sure if that was done on purpose or someone dropped the ball. Otherwise, everything else is good to go.

I bought this gun back in 2011. I like the platform. I am actually considering another Savage Axis. The gun shoots well. I've never had any issues with it. The magazine retaining clip is a little sketchy but it has never broke. I just saw a video yesterday and Savage just release a new magazine for the Axis and it is way better. For a budget gun this is hard to beat for the accuracy you get. Also a lot of aftermarket companies now make parts for the Axis. If your budget doesn't allow you to buy a more expensive gun with a better stock or barrel. I would recommend a Savage Axis/ Scope combo to get you started and upgrade the stock and barrel later on.

I bought this Savage Axis XP from Buds guns at a great price and service and shipping were very timely and I even got an extra $10.00 off by buying a second gun. Been shooting this .308 a lot lately and it is accurate and a very good value. I have bought several rifles and revolvers from Buds and have always been more than satisfied.

I cannot offer a valid review of this fire arm yet as I have not shot it. However, I can comment on the purchase. As always dealing with Bud's was pretty seamless and easy. It did take a little longer than I had hoped for to get the cash payment processed. But, I was not in a hurry. The fire arm came in great shake and appears to be as advertised.

This is a beautiful, light and great shooting gun. I will probably be buying more in different calibers. Buds was great with super fast shipping even during Christmas holidays.
