This was my first purchase through buds. I had an excellent experience with the website. I payed with the e-check option, which does take a little time, but if you aren't in a hurry it is an excellent method of payment. The rifle showed up at my FFL in perfect condition, and I took it out after mounting a scope on it just a few days after picking it up. The rifle was terrific, probably more accurate than I am capable of shooting it. I would however like to comment on the stock. It is a typical "tupperware" savage stock. The fore-end of the stock is flimsy enough to actually touch the barrel if you try to shoot it with a bipod on the front sling swivel. This wasn't an issue if shooting from a rest, however. This was my second savage with a synthetic stock, so I was expecting it and it is not a big deal if you are aware of it. I would recommend getting a replacement stock from either of the two (that I'm aware of) manufacturers of laminate stocks for these rifles if it is an issue. I think you can get them for as little as $100.

Overall I am thrilled with this gun. I plan on taking a whitetail with it in the next couple of years as it kicks a little less than my 7mm Rem Mag and is also lighter. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this rifle to a friend, or possibly to buy another Axis in the future.
