This is the worst firearm in Walther’s line up. The lock mechanism broke immediately on cleaning and the gun has not even been on the firing range yet. This is apparently a common problem with this firearm even if you are following the special instructions for field stripping. Walthers are usually good guns and won’t jam IFand ONLY IF you keep them clean. So far, if the lock mechanism is breaking on cleaning and disassembly, a pistol more like a 1911 is certainly more robust. Do not buy the CCP if you are OCD on gun cleaning. Its not worth the money you are spending.

The trigger on this thing is OK but not great. I tested a box of wolf steel through it without incident. The recoil is very different on this pistol than a standard tilt barrel design, not harsh or less than to be expected just different IMO. Field strip is non-standard but not difficult if you read the manual and have a little bit of patience. The pistol grip is both ergonomic and very well textured for a firm hold on the pistol. For 298 dollars this gun is an easy 5 stars. Would buy again and will recommend.

This CCP feels wonderful in the hand. Trigger is decent, about 5.5lbs and is slightly gritty but nothing horrible and only noticeable when slowly pulling it. Its not a pocket gun by any means but carries and hides well in a iwb kydex at 4'o clock. Slightly longer slide than a shield or lc9s. Grip length is about 2 1/2 fingers for me personally. Gun has been 100% reliable with few hundred 124gr fmj and 50 124+p hst loads. Take down is different but easy once you do it a few times. Accuracy is combat acceptable for me. Buy it you wont regret it.

Got my CCP to the range today and it's a very nice firing piece. I'm pleased overall with the performance and fit of this gun. I fired 100 rounds of Blazer 115 grain through it and it worked without fail. When I picked it up from my FFL, I checked out the take down and reassemble of it. Take down was easy(I'd watched some online instruction on it), reassemble was more of a pain. It took me a few minutes to align the piston. After that, it was easy. I practiced a few more times and now I have it down pretty well. I would recommend this gun to anyone who's willing to put a little time into learning it. Otherwise, you may find it a bit too much for your taste. Every transaction I have with Bud's is excellent. For overall service and quality...5 stars. Thanks Bud's

A:Edward, these are recent manufacture pistol. Unfortunately Buds does not open new firearms packages to give us a truly accurate answer. Customer Service won't be able to answer this in this case. The updated pistols will have a dot milled in the back of the magwell. Example here : http://www.waltherarms.com/recall/# ***Walther will take care of you in the remote chance they don't have the update***.See 3 more answers |
