Weatherby Element Turkey 20 Gauge Shotgun - 22" Barrel, 4+1 Rounds, 3" Chamber

I've been very happy with this shotgun. It patterns very well with Federal #9 tss and a Jeb's headhunter choke out to 40 yards. Lightweight, easy to shoulder and has been 100% reliable for the last year.

After being diagnosed with myeloma I asked doctor about turkey hunting. He said drop down from 12 guage. Found this on Buds. Just what the doctor ordered, and what I wanted. Let me start by saying, after watching every review I could find of this shotgun on YouTube, only one of the reviews mentioned that the shotgun was manufactured in Turkey. If I had known about that prior to ordering, I would not have considered this shotgun. I just got this yesterday, and I shot it right out of the box without cleaning. And cycled every round with the pull of the trigger with low brass 7 1/2 shot. Before I shot it though, I loaded it the same way I load my 1940 remington 11. Load all the shells into the tubular magazine, and then pull the bolt back to load one into the chamber. Doing this jammed the Weatherby. I disassembled the shotgun, and used the magazine plug to push the shells up and out of the magazine. I instead loaded one into the chamber, and then loaded the tubular magazine. This shotgun cycled every round out of the box with the pull of the trigger. Ejected the spent shells perfectly with no issues. After shooting the 5 rounds I completely stripped the gun down for a cleaning. It has such tight tolerances, that it was a pain to take apart. The handle for the bolt would not come out. I had to depress the bolt slightly and then pull the handle out with Vice grips and a cloth. On the plus side, this shotgun is affordable, and simple. I love the rubber inlay on the stock. Very comfortable with a nice grip. This shotgun was purchased to be an everything firearm. Partridge, rabbit, turkey, and even deer. I love how smooth the bolt is on this shotgun and how light it is. But even being a 20ga, it still has some recoil, but of course, still super manageable. Overall, I’m happy with it so far. Buds has been great with my purchases, and I will definitely buy here again.

I purchased this as a spare turkey gun. It is so lite and quick that it may be carried a lot. I am well pleased all the way around. Patterns are exactly what I like. No malfunctions. Buds was great to deal with! I’m a customer for life!!!
