  Hi Casey and welcome. It is NJ legal due to the Barrel not being threaded. • Q: Read an article that said you can, but shouldn’t - fire .308 thru 7.62 & vice versa. Anyone know what the barrel is actually stamped with/chambered for?

• Q: Is this rifle legal in Illinois. Is any M1A model legal in Illinois.

  Hi Brad, this model is not legal due to the flash hider and barrel shroud. Unfortunately there are no SA M1A rifles that are Illinois compliant.

• Q: why is there a cut out for the select fire knob in the picture. I assume that's just some picture they found. I assume the stock would be exactly the same as the standard M1A I already have.
