The Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 magnum is without a doubt a kickass revolver. I bought it primarily to have as a backup weapon when I hunt in grizzly country. Anyone who has elk hunted in Wyoming near Yellowstone knows the area is saturated with grizzly bears and they love to eat elk and are not shy about taking an elk carcass away from a hunter. The .44 magnum will change their mind. You need a lot of practice with this beast (the revolver) because it will try to jump out of your hand, bust your knuckles, or hit you upside your head! For everyday target practice, I shoot the .44 Special which is more shooter friendly. I love this revolver for its looks, power, and accuracy. As always, Buds comes through.

I have had this Ruger Super Blackhawk before. It is a work of art from Ruger. I had to have another after I traded the first one off. Buds Guns were great in getting my Ruger to my FFL. I would purchase a firearm and anything else I needed with Buds Guns. Their Customer Service has always been good to me. They deserve thanks from me and a 5 star rating. What a quality build this Ruger is. This revolver is both solid, heavy, and fun to shoot. If you shoot .44 special, you barely feel the recoil. Shoot some Buffalo Bore heavies, that is another story! I do love the single action Ruger's and believe them to be a great long term investment. I will be glad to hand this beauty down to one of my son's one day.

I dearly love single actions, especially Rugers. This one had some cosmetic issues. The transaction with Bud’s went just fine as have all of my transactions. I think Ruger made this one on a Friday, as they say.

I love this Ruger Super Blackhawk! It's built like a tank and shoots right to point of aim. I also like that this 5.5 inch barrel version has the rounded trigger guard, rather than the squared trigger guard of the versions with longer barrels - that squared trigger guard can be rough on your middle finger when shooting hot Magnum loads. After shooting the Magnums, the .44 Specials seem like .22LRs. Solid and dependable, and will handle the hottest of .44 Magnum loads. I love the satin stainless steel finish. it's a joy to shoot and I have nothing but good things to say about this revolver!
