After doing much research and reading rave reviews about the CZ 75 B, I made the decision to buy one. I decided on the satin nickel model. After searching for 3 months, Bud's notified me that they had received a limited number of these, so I placed my order. The gun arrived in perfect condition and oh what a beauty. I put it thru an initial cleaning and headed to the range. The CZ 75B shot as good as it looked. No problems whatsoever. However, when I got home from the range and broke it down to clean it, I noticed sone of the nickel finish was flaking off the inside of the slide and dust cover after only 75 rounds. I called CZ and they said this was not unusual and that they would repair it. I sent it back to CZ and received the gun back in about 2 1/2 weeks. They had smoothed down the problem areas and said I should not expect any more issues. Even though CZ had great customer service I would not recommend a satin nickel finish. (customer service told me they were going to discontinue it). I wish I had spent the extra money and gotten the matte stainless model or just stuck with glossy black. I would still highly recommend the 75B. It is truly a real steel gun and a treat to shoot. 5 stars all the way except for the issue with nickel finish. As for the nickel model I will have to rate a 4.

Purchased one of these mid-February in what was apparently a momentary inventory availability flash. Within hours, inventory was gone again. Service from Bud's was exceptional; will do business here again. This handgun is a beauty. The satin nickel finish is very nice looking without being too 'out there'. It shows well and cleans very well. I took it to a local indoor range not knowing what to expect as I had never fired one of these CZ models nor even handled one. The grip and weapon balance is great. The accuracy out of the box was amazing. I just couldn't miss and I'm not talking just about paper, but 8, 9 and 10s. I am not a recently experienced shooter, but qualified regularly while on active duty in the Army. Many reviewers indicate the trigger pull improves after a few hundred rounds...I look forward to whatever improvement that will be...I hope I notice. Because I have fired the Beretta while in the Army, I started looking there, but stumbled into the exceptional ratings given to the CZ 75B line. Took a chance on the unknown and have no regrets. This is a nice handgun and comes at a great price, if you can find the inventory. So, what recommendations would I make? I am replacing the stock plastic grips with the CZ rubberr grips. I think the added texture and feel will complement the feel of the gun overall. I have since held other handguns where the sights are easier to see (bright red-orange) vice small white dots. But, honestly, I can't remember what I was seeing at the range in my sight picture, but the shooting accuracy was exceptional. As the sight picture was effective, I might think about applying a dot of flourescent glow orange or green at a latter date for enhancement....have to think on this a bit more before I get serious. Shooting this handgun was fun. Accuracy was exceptional. The build and fit quality is great. CZ's reputation for durability is strong. The decision to buy was on the mark. I would recommend you strongly consider the CZ 75B line if you are in the market for a solid 9mm. I did not find the full size overly heavy or large...would be interesting to fire the same model, but in the compact size. Who knows?...perhaps another purchase in the future.

A classic 9 mm pistol that's 100% reliable and fun to shoot. A keeper for sure.

There's a tendency towards five star reviews on Bud's site for a couple of reasons: 1) Bud's prices and customer service are rock solid. 2) There's a mountain of good pistols out there manufactured by many different companies and people tend to love what they're used to as long as they're not malfunctioning. Most people haven't handled numerous firearms and so consequently don't have a strong point of reference. So it's important to note with this five star review that I'm not basing it on Bud's service or price (both of which were excellent), nor am I basing this rating based on lack of experience with firearms as I have put over a thousand rounds through no less than 20 different models of handguns over the years. This is simply put the finest stock pistol I have ever fired. The construction is all steel which results in an extremely durable and rugged weapon. The extra weight reduces the moderate recoil of the 9mm cartidge even further. This pistol's accuracy is 2nd only to some very pricey custom 1911's I've owned/fired. This is also one of the rare pistols in my collection where I have not replaced the stock grips. Granted, the grips are plastic but they are extremely well formed. The only negative thing I can say about this pistol (and this is a stretch), is that the trigger pull is slightly uneven out of the box. CZ will do a trigger job for only $70 bucks but I would strongly recommend the do-it-yourself 1000 round trigger job on this pistol. It was right around 800-900 rounds where the trigger pull became close to perfect. Speaking of rounds, I have put slightly over 3000 rounds through my CZ 75b as of writing this without a single failure of any kind. The weapon has been fed 6 different types of fmj ammunition and 4 different types of hollow point ammunition. Zero problems. There are some very respected individuals in the gun community that have referred to this weapon as a "Modern Day Classic". They are not exaggerating.

First, this is almost as described as It does have blackened controls, safety, hammer, slide stop, but contrasted with the satin nickle finish it is BEAUTIFUL. Took it to the range today and put 70 rounds of Winchester 9mm 124 grain nato through it. It just kept getting more accurate with each magazine. Also the controls that are Black are METAL not PLASTIC-try a magnet...Love It...A+

Picked this 9mm up from Buds about 3 months ago and the process was absolutley painless. Super quick shipping and no hassles from Buds. On to the gun, Great feel, weight, and looks to this gun. The fit and finish is great. The action feels very smooth with no side-to-side wobble with the trigger. This was my first handgun (of many i hope) and I just love how it shoots. Probably 400 rounds thru it with no issues whatsoever. I picked this over the polymer frames because i just felt that the most durable of the two has to be steel framed. As the other reviewer mentioned, the side release and safety are not nickel. They are black. And while this should be cleared up in the picture, I can't hold it against the weapon itself. 5 stars all the way.

Awesome gun, as anyone who has bothered to look into the CZ 75 line of pistols already knows. Bud's service was also very good. I must, however, take away one star for something that some might find nitpicky: The gun pictured is NOT exactly what your gun will look like. The slide release and safety are not, as pictured, finished in nickel. They are BLACK plastic. Might not matter to some, but I bought this gun with the intention of replacing the grips to some sort of wood color, and now I have to leave it stock, because it would look silly (in my opinion) with wood colored grips and black controls. Like I said, everything about this gun is awesome, but if I would have known that the Satin Nickel version was cosmetically different from the stainless version, I might have made a different decision.
