A great rifle from Savage. Heavy enough to reduce hard recall which is important with the 338 Lapua round. Great muzzle brake also.

Have shot the s__t out of this gun, and like the Timex of guns.....takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin. Have run many different scopes on it. Shoots under 1MOA with most any ammo, with this old geezer being the limiter in the equation.. Consistently ring steel out to 1500m. Dropped elk, moose and brown/black bear up to 700m.....personal ethics limit. It is Savage tough and reliable. Recoil is very tolerable for 338LP, you appreciate the weight Did I mention, it is heavy. But, I didn't buy it for clearing structures. It's a place gun, as in over watch and own the whole damn place. I've got prettier, more elegant, pinky-in-the-air, way more expensive rifles, but this is without doubt the best bang for anyone's buck. You won't be disappointed or embarrassed with this rifle. Buds offered at best price with great service and experience.

Horrible stock, overly large awkward pistol grip, rough chambering, stuck cases in the chamber and very heavy rifle. It shoots 1-2 moa at 100 yards using precision reloads. It’s definitely not a $6,000 rifle, but if you want to join the 1 Mile Club, this rifle is very capable.

Extremely accurate with massive fire power, a good balance when smaller rifles wont give you the range you want but without having to go all the way up to .50. A good trade off for gun weight, ammunition cost and range of .50 sized rifles. This one won't disappoint.

Accuracy on this gun is super. I did have some extraction issues and found issue within ball detent. Sent firearm to Savage and they inspected. Issue wasn’t resolved.
After I changed ball detent. Issue resolved and shoots perfect

A bit pricey to shoot, but recoil is just a tap to the shoulder due to the weight. Accurate and tight groupings at 300 yards. Does have a slight hiccup with the loading the next round.

this is a beast of a gun. im running a nightforce 6x22x56mm scope and this gun is a tack driver. recoil no more than a 30-30 and smooth action. very well put together. would say its well worth the money. if you like shooting long distance and making a impact when the bullet gets there this is your gun. buds has the best price and will assist any way they can. 5. star rating on the gun and 5. star rating on service from buds.
