Fantastic rifle for the money. It is surprisingly hefty for a 9mm, but there is no recoil. The digital camo finish scratches really easily, but that is the only flaw. You will burn more ammo than you expect playing with this one.

This is my 2nd. Ruger 9mm Carbine. The first one was accurate, problem free & I really enjoyed it! My most recent purchase was not so good! After unboxing my new purchase, I noticed that the barrel wobbled from side to side as I handled the gun. An obvious "clunk-clunk" as the rifle was handled. This turned out to be caused by the rifle being assembled with NO care to the proper adjustment of the barrel nut which controls the proper clearance of the barrel assembly to the remainder of the rifle. With an optic installed (which I use) you could not have hit a Watermelon at 30 yards. I adjusted & assembled the rifle correctly & then attempted to install a carry sling. More problems! The forward sling attachment point was rotated 90 degrees incorrectly. I attempted to rotate the attach point but was unable to do so with any reasonable force. I then had to remove the forward hand guard to see how the attach point was installed. There was no nut & it appeared that the part was molded into the plastic handguard. As a last resort I applied even more force (long cheater) and was able to rotate the attach point correctly. At this point this rifle was suitable for use which has gone well. It is now accurate, reliable & enjoyable, the way it should have arrived!

Great gun. Heavy but solid construction. Easily shoots 2 inch groups at 50 yards with a red dot sight. Iron sights also very accurate and easy to use. This is the first ghost ring sight rifle that I've shot and it works great. On target right out of the box. Cycled Blazer brass through magpul and ETS glock mags with no issues at all. Love the take down design for easy transport and storage. The Ruger gun case for this gun is perfect and hard to beat. Matches nicely with my Ruger 10/22 take down rifle. Highly recommended, especially if you already have 9mm pistols and plenty 9mm ammo around.

Quick delivery from Buds; this carbine was everything I had hoped for. Solid Ruger quality, exceptionally easy take down mechanism. I changed the mag well to Glock since I already had a quantity of Glock 17 mags on hand. Was planning to mount a red dot sight, but after shooting about 50 rounds into 3 inches at 30 yards with the iron sights I'll leave well enough alone.

Another great Ruger product. I have been wanting one of these for a while, but had never actually handled one. Then, the guy next to ma at the range was shooting one, and was happy to let me try it. I ordered my own the next day. It is accurate, has a decent trigger and is a lot of fun. The peep sights are great. The fired cases are sooty on the outside, which suggests that the chamber is cut rather generously, and that’s not a bad thing on this type of weapon. I imagine that it will digest any ammo you want to feed it, even is the rounds are a bit corroded or dirty, or, heaven forbid, covered with dried blood.

Great gun. Wanted one for some time. Useful and affordable. Better buy than the Henry Homesteader with larger magazine capacity.

Buds had the Ruger PC Carbine in the model I was looking for. Purchase was simple and it arrived at my FFL in 3 days. The PC Carbine has operated flawlessly for the first 50 rounds I have fired. The blue is matte finished with good coverage. Fit and finish is very good. Receiver and picatinny rail are aluminum and of good quality. Very satisfied and recommend Buds.

Nice little carbine. Great service from Buds, Great service from Ruger. When I picked up the firearm the barrel thread protector was loose, it was over sized. Knowing Ruger's outstanding customer service I decided to pick up the gun. After leaving the store I called Ruger and they sent me the proper thread protector. Very pleased with my purchase.

Today, I went to the range for the first time with my new Ruger pistol caliber carbine. It operated flawlessly and was so much fun to shoot. My only issue was that my old (71 years) eyes couldn't really handle the peep sights. I have decided that I'll need to put a scope on it to really test its accuracy and enjoy it 100%. I'm sure my grandkids will love this rifle. My purchase from Buds was flawless as usual. I normally send Buds a cashier's check in order to realize the discount, but this time I tried using an electronic funds transfer.
