Terry, This is a fantastic rifle. Beautiful walnut stock. Decent optic. Great trigger. Accurate barrel. Features of a $1000 rifle. Check out reviews online. Could pay twice as much and not have as nice a rifle.

Terry, in case Anthony C does not answer, I think his first comment says it all - Nice hunting rifle for the money - which leads me to believe he likely has more expensive, higher quality hunting rifles. Judging from the remainder of his statement, I gather he was very satisfied with the rifle combo at the price point none the less so I would not let that 1 star deter you. Great gun. Shoots straight, sub MOA right out of the box. First time I've ever had that happen. Beautiful gun. I'd compare it to the Savage 110 walnut series. A little nicer actually. I have the patriot in the 30-06, 300WM and the .350 legend and I have multiple Savage 110, Axis and Axis II's. All nice guns and all made in USA (except the scopes). Nice vortex scope as well. Never had a problem with any Mossberg I've owned.
